Dolly Parton was born on January 19, 1946, on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She had a family of 12 children. Her vivid imagination enabled her to escape the grim realities of life. Before she could write and read, she began singing her own tunes. When she was 8 when she bought her first electric guitar. She began to sing at an Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. In the same year she made her debut album Gold Band Records an independent small label. When she was still in highschool she garnered a name in the local music scene however she longed for a bigger stage. Her move to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. The first charting record she had on Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for his TV show syndicated by the network. Parton began her career in 1966. She then joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. She left the show after 1974 because her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene began charting the collaborations they had with each other. Parton After the dissolution of their relationship with Wagoner was the one to write"I Will Never Love You and managed to make it the top spot at No. The first time it made it to Number 1 was in 1974.
