Jessica Ann Simpson Johnson was born July 10, 1980. [1] She is an American actress, performer, and an entrepreneur. Simpson aged 17 years old, started her career singing in church choirs. She signed with Columbia Records in 1997. The album she released as her debut album, Sweet Kisses (1999) sold over two million copies in the United States and saw the commercial success of the single "I Want to Love You Forever". Simpson decided to adopt a more mature image for her second studio album, Irresistible (2001), and its title track became her second highest-rated entry on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This Skin (2003) was Simpson's third studio album. It sold three million copies in the United States. Simpson was famous for her romantic relationships with Nick Lachey and her marriage to Nick Lachey. Simpson also appeared on MTV's reality TV show Newlyweds, Nick and Jessica between 2003 and 2005. Simpson's first film appearance as Daisy Duke was made in 2005, shortly after the release of ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004). This album was awarded gold certification. The film's soundtrack also featured a cover of "These Boots Are Made for Walking". In 2006 she debuted her fifth album A Public Affair and appeared in the romantic comedy film Employee of the Month. Simpson started to explore country music in 2008 with the release her sixth studio album, Do You Know (2008). Simpson started The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005. It was a line that focused on fashion with 34 product categories. It's the most successful famous brand of license in the history of fashion with more than $1 billion in sales up to the present. Simpson was also on the reality-TV show The Price of Beauty in 2010 and was judged on fashion trends for two seasons of Fashion Star between 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married to Eric Johnson and has three children.
