Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18, 1980)[1] is an American actor and singer from the United States. She began her acting career at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York. There she performed in performances on stage. The musical comedy The Adventures of Tom Sawyer was her Broadway debut. The Crucible revival came out in the year following. After her appearance in the action thriller Spartan (2004) and Gracie's Choice (2004), she received praise for her performance in Gracie's Choice (2004). While on Veronica Mars, Bell starred in the role of Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005) as reprising the role she played in the New York musical of the similar name.Bell starred as Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 until 2008. She voiced the titular narrator in the drama for teens Gossip Girl, reprising the character in the sequel 2021. Bell also played Jeannie van der Hooven the female lead in the Showtime comedy series House of Lies. Bell starred as Eleanor Shellstrop in the NBC comedy series The Good Place. This character brought her a Golden Globe Award nomination. Bell also Bell played the lead role in the online series The Woman in the House Across the Street from the girl in the Window.In the film, she played her most memorable film debut as the title character in Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008). Bell has been seen in a variety of comedy films in the years since, including Couples Retreat (2009), When in Rome (2010) and You Again (2010). Bell was also recognized for her performance as the Princess Anna in the Disney animated films Frozen (2013) and Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018).
